“Metallic” surfaces are much in demand in many sectors. We have the solution - and offer high quality, customer-specific PVD decorations for thermoplastics and silicone surfaces.
With PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition - a variety of synthetics and even soft silicone are coated with genuine metal. The material made of solid metal plates (Target) is transformed via ion bombardment into a gaseous state (magnetron sputtering) and then deposited onto the work pieces. In a brilliant finish, the PVD surface receives a protective layer of lacquer.
This lamination technology - both decorative and functional - makes it possible to apply ultra-thin metal layers to thermoplastic surfaces.
